Poland expels 55 foreign nationals and imposes Schengen entry bans
Polish border officers detained 55 foreign nationals in September over criminal and administrative offenses. All were ordered to leave immediately and barred from returning to the Schengen Area for several years.
Poland’s Nadodrzański Border Guard unit removed 55 foreign nationals from the country following arrests made in September. The group included citizens of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
inPoland.net.pl reported the measures on Tuesday, October 6. Each person received an immediate departure order as well as a multi-year ban on entering Schengen countries.
The cases involved theft, threats, drug use or possession, drunk driving, failure to comply with court judgments and tax violations. Authorities considered the individuals’ continued presence a risk to public security or order.
Since the beginning of 2026, the regional unit has issued 520 forced-return orders. That total is already higher than the figure recorded during all of last year.
