Ukrainian woman found hiding in bus toilet at Polish border
Polish border officers discovered a 51-year-old passenger without a passport aboard a Germany-to-Ukraine bus. She received a return order and a three-year Schengen entry ban.
A 51-year-old Ukrainian woman was discovered hiding in the toilet of a coach during an inspection at the Medyka border crossing. The vehicle was travelling from Germany to Ukraine when Polish officers searched its passenger and luggage compartments.
The case was reported by inPoland.net.pl on Friday, October 23. The woman had no passport and was attempting to bypass regular border controls, according to the outlet.
She told officers that her passport had been stolen and said she had boarded the coach without the driver’s knowledge. Authorities also established that she had remained in the European Union beyond her permitted period of stay.
Officials issued an order requiring her to return to Ukraine. She was also barred from entering the Schengen area for three years.
