Young Ukrainian men out-earn peers in Poland by PLN 1,500
A Deloitte report puts median net pay for Ukrainian men aged 25 to 34 at about PLN 6,800. The comparable figure for Poland’s workforce in that age bracket was around PLN 5,300.
Ukrainian men aged 25 to 34 stand out as a higher-earning group in Poland, with median net wages about PLN 1,500 above the level recorded for all workers of the same age. inPoland.net.pl reported the findings on Wednesday, October 21, citing an October Deloitte study prepared for UNHCR.
The report estimated median monthly earnings for the Ukrainian group at roughly PLN 6,800 net. Across Poland’s entire workforce aged 25 to 34, the median was approximately PLN 5,300.
Researchers attributed the gap partly to employment patterns. Young Ukrainians more often take physically demanding jobs in large cities and industrial areas, where employers face recruitment shortages and tend to offer higher pay.
Industry representatives also pointed to working hours as a factor, noting that Ukrainians are more likely to accept 10- to 12-hour shifts or weekend work. Official statistics showed that 1.2 million foreign nationals worked in Poland at the end of the first quarter of 2026, including 784,000 Ukrainians.
