A 34-year-old woman contacted officers after finding her boyfriend with another woman and disclosing that he was wanted. Polish authorities planned to remove him from the country after a ten-day detention.
Police detained a 23-year-old Ukrainian man in Konstantynów, Łódź Voivodeship, following a call from his partner on October 14. The 34-year-old Ukrainian woman knew that he was sought by law enforcement and alerted officers after discovering him with another woman.
The case was reported by inPoland.net.pl on Monday, October 19. Responding officers checked the man’s details and confirmed that he appeared in police databases.
He was taken into custody and was due to remain under arrest for ten days. Authorities then intended to deport him from Poland because he had failed to comply with an earlier order requiring his return to Ukraine.
