Warsaw has emerged as Poland’s highest-ranked city in Time Out’s 2026 assessment of urban public transport. With an approval score of 81.9%, the capital took 12th place worldwide and sixth among the European entries.

The findings were reported by inPoland.net.pl on Friday, October 16. Time Out based the list on responses from 24,000 residents, who rated local transport on a scale ranging from “terrible” to “amazing.” Only the top-performing city from each country was included.

Taipei led the global table with 95%, followed by Singapore at 93.5% and Hong Kong at 92.8%. Edinburgh ranked fourth, Seoul fifth and Zurich sixth. Ten of the 20 places on the final list went to European cities.

Warsaw’s result was linked to its integrated ticketing system, coordinated metro, bus, tram and suburban rail services, and short connections between different modes. Accessible stations, real-time travel information, separated tram routes and the introduction of lower-emission vehicles were also cited as strengths of the network.
