Poland’s Internal Security Agency detained a Ukrainian national near Grójec in connection with the arson attack on a Starlink satellite communications station in Wola Krabowska. inPoland.net.pl reported the details on Saturday, October 17.

Investigators allege that the suspect photographed and filmed the facility, assessed its security arrangements and sent the material to an unidentified handler through instant messaging. He was subsequently charged and has remained in detention since September 30.

The station caught fire during the night of September 23-24. Two Turkish citizens suspected of carrying out the attack were arrested in Germany on October 12, with Polish authorities seeking their transfer under a European arrest warrant. A 24-year-old Turkish woman accused of arranging transport and another alleged helper were also detained in Germany.

A prosecutor from the Mazovian branch of Poland’s National Prosecutor’s Office is handling the case as a terrorist offense committed on behalf of a foreign intelligence service. Polish security services coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak blamed Russia for the operation and described it as another act of hybrid warfare.
