Poland deports Ukrainian woman over illegal gambling venue
A 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen was removed from Poland after operating an unauthorized slot-machine hall. She was barred from entering the Schengen area for five years.
Polish border officers deported a 40-year-old Ukrainian woman accused of setting up and running an unlicensed gambling hall in Radzyń Podlaski. inPoland.net.pl reported the case on Wednesday, October 28.
Police detained the woman after establishing that the venue operated slot machines without the required authorization. Investigators said the business caused substantial losses to Poland’s state budget, while the authorities concluded that her continued presence posed a threat to public safety and order.
Officers from the Nadbużański Border Guard unit issued the removal decision following a request from the district police chief. The woman was escorted to the border and handed over to Ukrainian services. Polish authorities also imposed a five-year ban on her entering Schengen countries.
