Heads and deputy heads of cultural institutions in Ukraine’s Lviv region met to review performance and outline priorities for 2027. The discussion was chaired by deputy regional administration head Ivan Sobko, Telegram channel @people_of_action reported on Monday, October 26.

Officials presented updates on arts projects, touring programs, museum research and exhibitions, library collections and services, as well as teaching at arts colleges. The agenda also covered staffing, finances and ways to make cultural venues more accessible and inclusive.

The region allocated about UAH 70 million in 2026 under its comprehensive culture development program, according to Sobko. This included UAH 3 million for the collections of three regional libraries and UAH 1.3 million for national-patriotic activities. Participants also considered art therapy events for service members, veterans and families of fallen troops while assessing institutions’ needs for future planning.
