Obolon claimed their first victory of the 2026/27 Ukrainian Premier League campaign with a 2-0 home win over Veres. Goalkeeper Nazarii Fedorivskyi played a key role at both ends, denying the visitors and supplying the pass for Ihor Medynskyi’s goal.

FC Obolon (fc.obolon.ua) reported the goalkeeper’s comments on Friday, October 16. Fedorivskyi said the result carried particular importance because the team had returned to its home ground and wanted to reward its supporters after working extensively on its preparations for Veres.

The assist developed after Medynskyi signalled for a ball behind the defensive line. Fedorivskyi spotted the run and drove his pass into the requested area, allowing his teammate to finish after the bounce and register his maiden goal in Ukraine’s top division.

Fedorivskyi described the contest as demanding, noting that Veres looked for space between Obolon’s lines and pushed forward late on. He said maintaining focus until the final whistle was essential, particularly after previous matches in which the Kyiv side had conceded near the end.
