Trump offers White House press secretary role to UFC chief Dana White
Donald Trump has offered UFC head Dana White the position of White House press secretary. No response from White was disclosed.
US President Donald Trump has invited Ultimate Fighting Championship chief Dana White to become White House press secretary. Radio Svoboda reported the offer on Saturday, November 7.
In a Truth Social post, Trump suggested that White recruit several prominent fighters as aides, including Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison. They have all competed in the UFC, with some remaining active in the organization.
White is a longtime Republican supporter who backed Trump in the 2020 and 2024 elections. He has said Trump assisted the UFC in its early years by allowing it to stage a 2001 event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
The previous White House press secretary, Katie Zakaria, left the job on October 16 after serving for five days. The report did not say whether White had accepted or rejected Trump’s proposal.
