Charity campaign raises UAH 1 million for railway workers
Thousands of participants turned virtual “hugs” into financial aid for railway employees and their families. Oschadbank and Mastercard converted the campaign activity into hryvnias.
A Ukrainian charity initiative has reached its UAH 1 million target in support of railway workers and their families. Participants used the charity section of an app to exchange virtual “hugs” for donations to the Zalizna Rodyna organization.
The Telegram channel @UkrzalInfo reported the result on Thursday, November 5. Oschadbank and Mastercard converted the participants’ activity into funds as part of the “My Gratitude. My Country” campaign.
The money is intended to help restore homes damaged by shelling, assist railway families who have lost their housing and cover treatment following injuries. Zalizna Rodyna will publish fundraising updates and reports through its website.
