Ukrzaliznytsia Maintained Train Links After Dnipro and Kharkiv Attacks
Rail services continued in both directions, with temporary transfers introduced for some journeys. Extra staff and food assistance were arranged at interchange stations.
Ukrzaliznytsia kept trains running on the Dnipro and Kharkiv routes following the attacks, according to board chairman Oleksandr Pertsovskyi. Some services were temporarily split into connecting journeys, while affected travelers received push notifications.
The Telegram channel @UkrzalInfo reported the arrangements on Saturday, October 31. Additional railway employees were assigned to transfer stations, where World Central Kitchen was set to provide hot meals, water and snacks.
The operator also said work was underway to restore rolling stock with support from international partners. Passengers were directed to the Ukrzaliznytsia app and the company’s official channels for the service changes available at that time.
