Kryvbas and LNZ approach milestone-filled UPL meeting
Kryvbas hold the stronger overall head-to-head record, but LNZ won their most recent game in Kryvyi Rih. Both sides enter the fixture with four-match winless runs in the relevant home and away categories.
Kryvbas will face LNZ in the ninth round of the Ukrainian Premier League with several club and individual landmarks in sight. The Kryvyi Rih side have won three of the teams’ six previous UPL encounters, drawing two and losing one, with an 8-4 aggregate score.
The Ukrainian Premier League published the statistical preview on upl.ua on Saturday, October 17. Three of the previous meetings took place at Kryvbas’ ground, where the hosts recorded two wins and one defeat. That loss came on April 5, 2026, when LNZ prevailed 3-0 through two Danylo Kravchuk goals and a late strike by Shota Nonikashvili.
Kryvbas are without a victory in four home league matches, while LNZ have not won in their last four away games. Both sequences consist of two draws and two defeats. Oleksandr Afanasiev of Kharkiv, who has officiated 37 UPL fixtures, has been assigned as referee.
A defeat would be Kryvbas’ 300th in the UPL. LNZ are chasing their 40th league victory and are set for their 50th away appearance; they also need two goals to reach 50 scored on the road. Mark Assinor is one goal short of 10 in the competition, while LNZ goalkeepers Oleksii Palamarchuk and Dmytro Ledvii could register their 35th and 25th clean sheets respectively.
