Ukraine tax service holds CRS 2.0 compliance workshop
Financial institutions received practical guidance on revised due diligence, reporting requirements and the CRS XML Schema 3.0 format.
Ukraine's State Tax Service hosted an online workshop with experts from the OECD Global Forum to examine the updated CRS 2.0 framework. Reporting financial institutions, professional business associations and tax officials took part in the session.
The State Tax Service reported the event on Friday, October 16. Discussions covered revised terminology and definitions intended to bring newer financial products and payment solutions within the scope of the international tax information exchange standard.
Experts also outlined changes to account identification and due diligence procedures, as well as the information that institutions need to collect and transmit. The technical segment focused on CRS XML Schema 3.0, file preparation and the process for correcting previously submitted data.
The workshop was designed to help financial agents adjust their internal systems and processes for the transition to the updated standard. The tax authority directed requests for further guidance on practical implementation to crs.info@tax.gov.ua.
