Shakhtar have won 11 of their 15 Ukrainian Premier League encounters with Kolos, with two draws and two Kolos victories completing the record. The aggregate score across those games is 33–13. The Ukrainian Premier League (upl.ua) reported the figures on Friday, October 16.

Seven previous meetings were staged at Shakhtar’s home ground, where the hosts recorded five wins and two defeats. Kolos won the most recent one 1–0 on May 21, 2026, through an Alharbi El Jadeyaoui Tahiri goal in the 49th minute. Shakhtar are consequently without a victory in three successive matches against the Kovalivka club.

The fixture is set to be Shakhtar’s 520th home appearance in the Ukrainian championship. One goal would take their home tally to 1,250, while Kolos also need one to reach 200 league goals. Shakhtar enter the contest on a 16-game run without a draw in the UPL, consisting of 14 victories and two losses.

Dmytro Panchyshyn of Kharkiv, who has officiated 53 Premier League matches, will referee the game. Shakhtar coach Arda Turan could register his 30th UPL win, while Ruslan Kostyshyn faces the possibility of a 40th league defeat in charge of Kolos.
