Karpaty set for 860th Ukrainian top-flight match
Karpaty Lviv will reach a major league milestone when they host Epitsentr on October 18 in the ninth round of the UPL.
Karpaty are due to play their 860th match in Ukraine’s elite division against Epitsentr on Sunday, October 18. The Ukrainian Premier League (upl.ua) reported the milestone on Thursday, October 15.
The recent head-to-head record favors Epitsentr. Serhiy Nahornyak’s side beat Karpaty during the 2023/24 second-tier campaign and held a 3–1 aggregate advantage across their two UPL meetings last season, including a victory in Lviv.
Karpaty enter the fixture having scored in six consecutive home league games, producing 11 goals over that stretch. Epitsentr, by contrast, have lost their last three UPL matches and have gone four games without a win.
The four-day round begins on October 16 with Obolon facing Veres. Polissya’s home meeting with Dynamo Kyiv on October 18 is billed as the headline contest of the weekend.
