Polish public offices faced November closures
Some local government offices were closed on November 2, while public institutions nationwide are due to shut on Independence Day, November 11. A range of administrative services will remain available online.
Public offices in several Polish municipalities were closed on November 2, including facilities in Elbląg, Toruń and Olsztyn. Local authorities designated the day as time off in lieu of the second day of Christmas, which falls on Saturday, December 26, this year.
The arrangements were reported by inPoland.net.pl on Monday, November 2. No substitute holiday was granted for All Saints’ Day because November 1 fell on a Sunday in 2026.
A nationwide closure is scheduled for November 11, when Poland marks National Independence Day. Although offices will not operate in person, residents can still handle selected matters through government websites.
