Ryanair to extend bag drop deadline to 60 minutes
Passengers with checked baggage will face an earlier cut-off from November 10. Those missing the deadline may be refused travel.
Ryanair will close its check-in and bag drop desks 60 minutes before scheduled departure from November 10, tightening the current 40-minute limit for passengers travelling with checked luggage.
inPoland.net.pl reported the planned change on Friday, October 30. The carrier warned that travellers who fail to hand over their bags before the new cut-off could miss their flight despite holding a valid ticket.
The airline said the additional time should help customers clear security and passport checks, particularly during busy periods at airports. The procedure will remain unchanged for the roughly 80% of Ryanair passengers who carry only cabin baggage and complete check-in online.
