Lviv Region Panel Reviews Support for Displaced People and Veterans
Regional officials and civil society representatives discussed coordinated assistance for vulnerable residents. Housing policy, psychosocial care and access to social services were among the main issues.
A coordination center operating under the Lviv Regional Military Administration convened to review services for internally displaced people, veterans, children and young adults in vulnerable circumstances. The Telegram channel @people_of_action reported the meeting on Friday, October 23.
Participants considered options for improving housing rules affecting displaced residents and expanding cooperation with local communities. They also examined how the profile and needs of evacuees arriving in western Ukraine have changed, alongside measures to strengthen regional veteran policy and protect the rights of displaced families.
Projects focused on psychosocial assistance and care were presented during the session, including initiatives associated with the Nursing Forum organization. Members agreed to develop proposals for better coordination between agencies, clearer support pathways for people with complex needs and more accessible social services across the region.
The regional administration also presented a certificate of appreciation to center secretary and lawyer Halyna Peretiatko, recognizing her legal and civic work, advocacy, support for volunteer initiatives and educational projects.
