Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting searches linked to National Bank Governor Andriy Pyshnyy. Lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko and sources for the Schemes investigative project said the operation included Pyshnyy’s office and other associated addresses.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported the development on Wednesday, October 21. Authorities have not officially identified the investigation in which the searches are being carried out.

NABU confirmed searches at the National Bank of Ukraine and at the home of one of its employees. The bureau said nobody had been detained and declined to release further details, citing the confidentiality of the pretrial investigation.

Pyshnyy has served as governor of the National Bank of Ukraine since 2022.
