A tourism-based recovery program in Ukraine’s Lviv region is inviting military personnel, veterans and their relatives to take part in mountain hikes, horse-riding trips, climbing sessions and excursions. The regional sports, youth and tourism department has run the Travel Therapy project for four years.

Details were shared in a post by the Telegram channel @people_of_action on Monday, October 19. A video featuring department director Roman Khimiak explains how the initiative began and how eligible participants can join.

The recording also recounts the experience of a defender with two amputations who crossed the Rosokhatski mountain meadows. Organizers presented his journey as an example of the activities offered through the program.

Further trips were announced at the end of the video, though the published message did not specify their dates or routes.
