Kyiv is introducing four temporary overnight bus routes from the city’s Central Railway Station beginning September 10. The services are designed for rail passengers whose trains reach the capital later than scheduled because of air raid alerts, attacks or other wartime disruptions.

The buses will operate from 1 a.m. until 5 a.m., covering the hours of the city’s nighttime curfew. Departures are expected approximately once every 60 minutes, while passengers will be able to request boarding or drop-off at stops along each route.

Service 131-N will run between the railway station and Darnytsia metro station. Route 132-N will connect the station with Minska metro station, while 133-N will travel to Toulouse Street and 134-N to Pavlo Tychyna Avenue. All four buses will return to Kyiv Central Station.

Inbound trips from residential areas will begin earlier and follow individual timetables, with passengers using designated boarding points. The arrangement is intended to provide a practical onward connection when regular public transport is unavailable.

Nighttime rail delays have created an additional challenge for travelers arriving in Kyiv, particularly during periods of heightened air danger. The temporary network gives those passengers a way to continue toward several densely populated parts of the capital rather than remaining at the station until morning.
