Three Odesa Region Communities Win Grants for Career Hubs
Podilsk, Safianivka and Avanhard will receive support to establish career guidance hubs for school students under the DECIDE project.
Three communities in Ukraine’s Odesa region have been selected for DECIDE grants aimed at creating local career guidance hubs. The successful applicants are Podilsk, Safianivka and Avanhard.
The outcome was reported by Telegram channel @odesaoda on Wednesday, September 30. The competition attracted 112 applications nationwide, with 52 communities ultimately chosen despite an initial plan to fund 50.
The hubs are intended to give students access to information about occupations, meetings with employers and hands-on experience. They will also help young people explore education and employment opportunities available in their communities and across the region.
Local authorities, schools and businesses are expected to cooperate in running the new facilities. DECIDE is implemented by the NGO DOCCU and Zurich University of Teacher Education International with support from the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine.
